Religiously obsessed groups and individuals cannot be pardoned off their sins when they try to and "convert" people in the name of God. It is influencing a person's inner self so as to change their views about their existence and about others. It is better to be without a point of view than to exist with a corrupted one.
Such groups though, can still be pardoned if the influenced individual has been able to give his thoughts a direction and anchor his ship on the path of righteousness and good deeds without hurting and hurling at others.
Babu and Raju while walking in a paddy field encountered a donkey who was busy chewing. Standing at a distance, Babu looking hard at it, claimed him to be a horse. While Raju was still figuring out what it was, Babu handed over his glasses and asked his friend to have a look at the animal through them.
"Aah ! it's a beautiful elegant horse indeed !", Raju exclaimed.
Two weeks down the line, they saw the same donkey run past them on the road in a hurry. Between the two of them they clapped and appreciated the pace and grace at which the donkey was running.
Two more weeks down the line they encountered a similar looking species gazing on an open land. Standing at quite a distance, it put both of them in a confusion again.
Even before Raju could speak, Babu again handed over his glasses and said... "look at how the bloody donkey is eating up all the crop !".
Raju looked through them and mocked at the being and called him names.
Couple of days later they saw the same horse wandering on an open land. Few other friends joined them and all of them joked at the horse.
People are like that. They not only perceive wrong but also hand over their perceptions to others and influence their thinking. People "convert" one another with their opinions. In the end, every body has the same ribbon of opinion tightly laced upon their eyes.
Unpardonable, isn't it ? May be not. It is beyond that. It is pitiful.... mankind and it's ways.
So tell me, who is at a bigger fault ? Religiously obsessed or people like Babu ?
Whether you want to perceive this world through your own eyes and form notions and opinions about it or through somebody else's, the choice is always yours.
But tell me...what is the purpose of such an existence where one cannot postulate a theory, own an ideology or patent a philosophy of his own ... about life ?
