Pseudo'ism

Procrastinating till the eleventh hour, then racing against time to finish things and that pseudo sense of 'accomplishment' at the end of it all ! ~ been there done that !

Winning & Losing ...

My colleagues asked me why I did not attend the awards ceremony a couple of week ends ago. Boston I went... I faked ! As a matter of fact, awards do not interest me. First I assumed I fear losing. Later I realized it was far beyond that. No award will turn me from a loser into a winner.

If awards are a recognition of over coming challenges... then I succumbed to the biggest challenge. The day I lost it.... I lost it all. Nothing was more precious.... nothing more worthy than few people.

Awards are only a piece of metal for me. They don't stir any emotions in me...

This day ...that year

28 years ago, .... India had for the first time won a World Cup. A then 28 year old handsome was on a trunk call speaking to his 27 year old beloved. From what she narrated to her son, they chatted for "ages" that day.

28 years later, India has won a World Cup today for the second time. This time, another 27 year old was on a trunk call too speaking to his..... ;)

Hopefully she will narrate to 'their' kids, how shy both of them felt to start with .....having chatted with heard each other for the first time...

What did they say ? History repeats itself ? ;)
